The Jane Coset is a trendy but timeless corset, featuring a subtle sweetheart neckline and a lace-up back. It’s a simple pattern suitable for beginners and experienced sewists.
Sizes XS-XXL; model height 165 cm wearing XS;
YOU WILL NEED
- For all sizes, you will need 0.5m of Main Fabric, 0.5m of Lining Fabric
- 140cm Ribbon of choice
- 10 pieces Flat Metal Boning OR Spiral Boning OR Zipties (alternative)
- 0.5mm Grommets - Number depends on preference
- 150cm Double fold Bias Tape
- Sewing tools
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
It is recommended to use sturdy fabrics like Brocade (used for corset in picture), Coutil, Denim, Leather, Silk Dupioni, Cotton Twill, Cotton Drill and even less heavyweight fabrics like Satin if used with a sturdy lining like Coutil.
*Please note if your fabric is not very sturdy it is recommended to iron on interfacing to your main fabric.
